U.S. Lebanon Land Office - list of vacant and unappropriated land, n.d.

U.S. Land Office Registers kept records of public lands sold, patented and those unsold. This record, compiled by the Register, lists vacant and unappropriated land. Included are the location of the land, the name of the purchaser (if any), the date of the sale, the certificate number of the purchase, the name of the person to whom patented and notes. The notes indicate cancelled claims, etc. These records document the work of public land Registers and provide information about the disposition of public lands. The Lebanon Land Office was moved to Centre in 1856.

Under regulations approved on March 20, 1915, tracts set aside as villa sites under the provisions of an act of April 12, 1910, within the former Flathead Indian Reservation, Montana, were offered for sale at public auction, beginning at Polson, Montana, on July 26, 1915.
